General Terms and Conditions
 
 

Alluna Optics aims to offer highest quality and best possible processing of your orders.  For every order the following General Terms and Conditions shall apply: 

Warranty 
We guarantee a surface precision of 1/30 wave RMS at 632nm for all our parabolic mirrors. 
For all of our Ritchey Chretien optical systems / full sets we guarantee 1/25 wave RMS at 632nm for the overall system. 
All optics and system are interferometrically calibrated to the best of our knowledge and certified. In the case of any optical problem we shall re-engineer or replace the optics, provided that glass and coating is not damaged. 
Any further liability shall be expressly excluded without consideration of the legal nature of the claim asserted. 
Our mirrors are usually free of any scratches. In the event, that there are few scratches or sleeks on the coated surface, they do not represent in any case a derogation of the optical performance and cannot be the reason for any complaint.  Any depression/pit within the range of micrometers that could be caused through polishing and coating do not represent a derogation of the optical performance and cannot be the reason for any complaint.

Guarantee 
We issue a 24 months guarantee for all of our optics and mechanic/electrical parts.  Any damages that occurred due to external hazard such as acids,  leaches or impacts of pressure shall not be covered by this guarantee.  Furthermore, all damages occurred by improper handling of the coated surfaces. Any further liability such as costs due to disassembly or  down times shall be excluded without consideration of the legal nature of the claim asserted.

Please observe the following Safety Instructions for Alluna telescopes:
- Make sure to have the telescope tightly connected to the mounting.
- The telescope is not suitable for usage in the daytime.
- Directly and indirectly looking into the sunlight through the telescope may harm your eyes.
- Protect the telescope from heat and direct solar radiation.
- Protect the telescope from humidity and rain.
- We do not assume any liability for any damages due to heat and/or humidity.
- Do not touch optical surfaces with your hands or objects.
- We do not assume any liability for any damages due to inappropriate cleaning of optical surfaces.

Contract Work 
Alluna Optics aims to perform all commission processing on the basis of current state-of-art. In the event, that, during the processing, it turns out that executing the order completely is not possible with the standard available at Alluna Optics, the purchaser shall not be entitled to claim or request completion of the service through a third party. 
The purchaser undertakes to insure all components/substrates delivered to Alluna Opticsfor the purpose of processing against damage. Alluna Optics does not assume any liability or compensation for damages of products provided by the purchaser at any time. Any further liability, for example, for secondary damages due to delayed delivery or non-delivery of components/substrates shall also be expressly excluded.
Alluna Optics manufactures optics and telescopes on order. We ask for a down payment of 40 % before processing the order and full payment before shipment. Contract works are made to order precisely on customer request. In case of rescission of an order the purchaser shall be obligated to cover all costs for material and working time occurred until the rescission. 

Coating Service 
We do not assume any liability for mirrors sent to us for the purpose of stripping off a coating, for re-coating or for re-processing in case of glass damaged by us or during transport. We assume liability solely for the coating and our work, however, not for substrate and the transport. This condition shall be deemed to be acknowledged upon placing an order. 

Prices 
All prices on the website www.alluna-optics.com are quoted in EURO without German VAT, unless stated otherwise.  Amounts are due without any deduction. 
Shipping costs will be charged separately on the base of weight, size and place and country of destination 
International Shipments. All additional charges for shipments outside the European Union such as taxs and import duties shall be borne by the purchaser. All additional fees such as bank transfer expenses shall be borne by the purchaser. 

Delivery 
All deliveries will be made by UPS or a forwarding company, depending on the weight. Every shipment shall be insured on the base of the actual balue of the goods. Packing for optics is included in the price. In case of telescopes the optional transport box shall be charged separately.

Delivery times 
Orders will principally processed in the sequence of receipt of the orders. In case of contract works the delivery time is to be understood as an approximate value. We aim to keep the stated delivery time. However, we cannot guarantee for it. 

Miscellaneous 
This contract as well as all legal relationships of the parties shall be governed by German law. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) shall not be applicable. 
Should one or more provisions of this agreement be or become invalid, illegal or unenforceable, that shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision of this agreement.   Place of jurisdictions shall be Augsburg.
